It’s easier and faster to find a particular file when organized correctly. If you’re working with a team or sharing a cloud server with your client, you don’t have to constantly ask each other where a particular file is if you’re using this method
Client Folder
Have this as the main or pillar folder. It is a must for agencies or businesses handling multiple clients.
Event or Campaign Folder
If a particular event or campaign is in the works, have this as your subfolder under the client folder.
Project or Task Folder
Place this under the event or campaign folder to which it belongs. If not, then have this placed directly under the client folder.
Project Materials Folder
Place all the needed materials like previous design examples, design direction, brand guide, fonts, and other files required to work on the project successfully.
Dates Folder
Have each round of your design placed in a folder with the date created. It ensures that you have a copy for every round of edits made. It serves as a backup file if the client wants to go back to a previous round of revision.
Final File Folder
Place the finalized design along with its packaged files for handover here. Sometimes the client will ask for the files again in the future.
