Wine Label Design With Custom Illustrations
West Crawford Cellars is an independent winery based in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. The borough’s cool temperature and fertile countryside allow the winery to produce the right grapes for West Crawford Cellars’ products. Traditional vinification processes that are practiced hundreds of years ago, combined with precise monitoring, enable the company to produce high-quality, fine-aged wines
The Challenge
West Crawford Cellars sought assistance from our creative design team to create wine label designs with custom illustrations. The labels need to imply an atmosphere of splendor blended with a warm, countryside ambiance. In addition, the client specifically requested that we incorporate deer and oak elements in the label design as part of their branding.
After consultation and constant communication with West Crawford Cellars, our creative design team conceptualized several studies, sketches, and designs based on the client’s request. Upon presentation, the client was impressed with the designs and approved them for use.
Gold and Black Label
In one of our designs, we used a bold black and gold template. Together with the sleek bottles, the label helps project a classy look and theme.
We selected a solid font for the words “West Crawford” to denote the strength and robustness of finely aged wine. In contrast, we used a script type of font for “Cellars” to indicate class and elegance.
This label design turned out to be the primary design for most West Crawford Cellars products.
White Label
Although a dry wine, merlot tends to be fruitier and sweeter than other dry wines.
To reflect this flavor, we used a delicate gold and magenta template over a white background. Icons of an oak tree and an acorn add a countryside theme as well as a branding point to the label.
As West Crawford Cellars prepares to produce more types of wines, our team is ready to design unique, creative, and attractive labels that enhance their brand and speaks volumes of their products’ excellence.
